The Training and Placement Cell of APCE, operates round the year to provide job Opportunities to the students as well as internships, workshops and placement trainings to all the students of our college. It serves as an interface between the students and the corporates. We aim at inviting companies from various Fields to provide training and placement in order to make wide range of opportunities available for our students.

Placement Policy
- The role of the Training and Placement Cell is of a facilitator and counselor for placement related activities. Training and Placement Cell provides 100% placement assistance to all the registered students as per the norms provided here.
- Training & Placement Student coordinators only hold the sole right to deal with Training & Placement matters (Internal or External) .Only with the special permission of the Training & Placement officer any other student may deal with Training & Placement matters.
- All students are responsible to stay in constant touch with Training & Placement coordinators for details and updates regarding Placement Matters.
- Dress code - Students must be formally dressed whenever they participate in interviews with formal shirt with tie, and leather shoes. Minimum formal clothes for women include either a pair of Salwar-Kameez.
- Students must keep their Identity Card with them at the time of PPT/Test/Group Discussion/ Interviews, and produce the same when demanded by visiting team or TPC staff or their representatives
- It is compulsory for every student to attend the Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) of a company in formals for which he / she has applied otherwise he / she will not be allowed to sit in the placement process of that company.
- Students should maintain discipline and decorum in every activity during the placement process.
- Any issues to be discussed should be forwarded to the respective Student Placement Representative and it is his/her responsibility to take it up with Placements Cell.
- Students are not allowed to use mobile phones in the vicinity of a company official and also are forbidden to carry the question paper out of the examination hall after the written exam.
- Placement season is an ongoing process which starts from November and may go up to September of the next year till the students are placed in various organizations.
- Once a student is placed in a company of his/her choice, he/she can attend any other interview directed from college whether off campus or on campus.
NOTE: Students who are placed in the Company should intimate the college through E-mail id or inform to the corresponding placement coordinators.
Placement Training Programme
The Training & Placement Team of our college facilitates the process of placement for the students passing out from the college besides collaborating with leading organizations and college in setting up of internship and training programs for students. The cell liaises with various industrial establishments, corporate houses etc., which conduct campus interviews and select undergraduate and post-graduate students from all disciplines. The Training & Placement cell provides the infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews. The cell interacts with many industries in the country, of which many companies provide the latest advances in the respective fields. The Training & Placement Cell molds the students by giving the following training.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT
Overall Personality Development Program has been designed for improving the Communication skills, Problem solving skills, Interpersonal skills, Entrepreneurial skills, Campus Recruitment drive, Interview skills, Programming skills and to inculcate Values and Ethics and Life skills of the students. The main objective of this program is to enhance the skill sets required for students to be industry-ready or to be a successful entrepreneurs. Based on the feedback received from the stake holders, training requirements are finalized by the senior academicians through brainstorming.
The accountability of an educational institution does not end with making student a graduate, but to nurture talent, entrepreneurship, all-round personality and value system among the students and to foster global competitiveness among the students.
Centralized Training and Placement team is functioning to groom the students to be industry ready during the period of study, integrating social identity with self-identification.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Good oral and written communication skills are essential in order to understand and deliver information quickly and accurately. Developing communication skills plays a vital role in many aspects of students’ life, from their professional career to social gatherings and their life. The communication skill training is required especially for the students with rural background.
SELF-GROOMING:
Self-Grooming for placements plays an important role when it comes to filling the gap between academics and the corporate world. By placement self-grooming, institutions can emphasize the technical and non-technical aspects of pre-placement training. This will enable students to crack job interviews and ace the recruitment process.
LIFE SKILLS:
Important life skills such as time management, resilience, Positive attitude, leadership skills, self-awareness and self-confidence are imparted to the students through various programs organized by different cells and forums.
VALUES & ETHICS:
Ethics and Values are essential in personal as well as professional life. The values such as Honesty, self-discipline, punctuality, hard work are instilled in the minds of the students by different programs and activities. Professional ethics is taught to practice and follow code of conduct in a workplace. As a result, the students are able to follow the moral values and to cope with the institutional practices. Moreover, they adhere to the code of conduct in the professional career.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Interpersonal skill is the ability to interact with people through effective listening and communication. These skills are often called soft skills or life skills and are used to interact with people around, either individually or as a group. The intrapersonal skills are provided to the students to share their views through proper communication and achieve the intended objective in a workplace or in day-to-day affairs.
HIGHER EDUCATION AND CAREER GUIDANCE :
Training and Placement cell also motivate the students for their Higher Education and giving Career Guidance for the students willing to attend competitive exams and to pursue higher studies in India and abroad. Various awareness programs such as Awareness for pursuing MBA, Career guidance about GATE/TANCET, Government sector opportunity, Emerging technologies and career opportunities, Higher education in aboard, Awareness Program for Banking Sectors, Ways to crack competitive examinations, Overseas education in European countries, Ways to smash UPSC (IAS and IPS) exam, IELTS are conducted through Higher Education and Career Guidance Cell.
CAMPUS RECRUITMENT DRIVE:
Campus Placements/ Campus Recruitment drives are conducted in various educational institutes for providing job opportunities to the students who are pursuing their particular academic courses. This recruitment technique allows companies to create a talent pipeline for the future, allowing organizations to identify and develop young talent.
INTERVIEW SKILLS:
Presentation skills are necessary in addition to knowledge and skills to crack the interview successfully. The way in which candidates present themselves gives edge over the rest and sets the tone for selection. These skills are inculcated in training programs and also through mock interviews conducted by industry experts and academicians.
Students are encouraged to take the initiative to improve their workplace attitude, soft skills, and professional skills while also developing Subject knowledge. The Training and Placement Cell's mission is to introduce students to the business world, giving them insight into their potential professional careers.
The students are trained in Soft Skills, Hard Skills, Group Discussions, Aptitude and Analytical Skills by the professional corporate trainers and internal faculties too. Rigorous practice is being taken by internal faculties. These training practices indeed help the students to grab the opportunities and start their professional journey.

The Department of Training and Placement is headed by Prof. D.PRABHATHARAN, M. TECH., (Ph. D.)., Our department interacts with reputed organizations all over the country for arranging campus interviews for the placement of final year students. It makes efforts to send most of the students for in-plant training to enhance their technical ability and gain exposure to the practical world.
Industrial visits to reputed companies are arranged to know more details about industrial activities. It also enhances the soft-skill capability of the students through regular training programs. The department counsels the final year students for their higher studies and for getting projects from industries
